Living Local 15 Launch

In January of 2022, I was tasked with creating the first non-news show to originate from WANE in at least 30 years. After consulting many of our lifestyle show producing sister stations, I becan to formuate a plan for a unique lifestyle show that would debut in September. Ours would be unique - we wanted to be out in the community more than in the studio, so we elected to go with a pre-taped version of the show instead of live. I brought in 2 full-time staffers, and along with myself and a few other existing station staff, we created "Living Local 15." Our host, Jessica Williams, brings her fantastic personality to the screen every day, plus a nice touch of elegance. See the launch spot in the gallery below, as well as some sample segments. We launched the show on-time and at budget. So far, reception has been excellent. We're rated number 1 in the P25-54 demo in our time period, and routinely beat the Today Show and Live with Kelly and Ryan in households. We've increased ratings year-over-year in the time period, and are on track for our revenue goals. Creating a show from nothing has been one of the most intense projects of my career, but also one of the most rewarding.
